About Alachua County Criminal History

Alachua County criminal records are divided among local and state custodians. Police reports, jail entries, court dockets, statewide histories, corrections files, and registry profiles do not come from one office. This privately run resource arranges the official access routes so readers can identify the agency that holds each record.

Why We Built This Site

Florida law opens many government records, but access begins with the correct custodian. The Alachua County Sheriff's Office maintains sheriff reports, current jail data, and its Local Arrest History. The Alachua County Clerk keeps filed criminal cases and dispositions. Statewide criminal-history searches come from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, while the Florida Department of Corrections Offender Search and Florida Sexual Offender and Predator Public Registry answer narrower custody, supervision, and registration questions. Bringing those distinct routes together makes county research easier to plan.

What You Will Find Here

  • Official search steps: the differences between FDLE name searches and authorized fingerprint checks
  • Custodian details: contacts for ACSO Records, the Clerk, and relevant Florida systems
  • Sealing and expunction basics: where Florida eligibility review and court filing steps begin

What We Cannot Do

Alachua County Criminal History is a privately operated reference site. It is not part of a Florida court, police department, sheriff's office, or state agency. As a result:

  • Official background checks and criminal records cannot be produced here
  • Records requests, sealing or expunction petitions, and other filings cannot be submitted for a visitor
  • Certified court documents, histories, and agency copies cannot be issued by this site
  • Questions about how Florida law applies to one case require legal counsel
  • Agency hours, costs, addresses, and procedures must be confirmed with the responsible office

Only the originating office, such as ACSO, the Alachua County Clerk, or FDLE, can provide an official criminal record. This resource can point to that office but cannot supply its document.

Search Partners

Independent providers power search boxes shown on certain pages. Each provider sets its own pricing, terms, and results. A referral fee may support site operations when a visitor purchases a service through one of those tools. Alachua County Criminal History does not set the provider's charges or control its output.
